Business Analyst Position at GB News

We are seeking a skilled Data & Audience Analyst with Power BI expertise to drive subscription business growth through accessible reporting, analysis, and insights.

This role will involve working closely with the audience development team to provide regular automated reports and analysis using existing data warehouse capabilities and data sources.

  • Taking ownership of reporting, analysis, and stakeholder engagement to support daily operations is crucial in this position.
  • Defining data models for automated reporting and advanced analysis scenarios is also key.
  • Analyzing drivers for changing KPI behaviour and communicating findings on a prompt and ad-hoc basis is vital.
  • Creatng new and enhancing existing Power BI Reports to enable stakeholders to understand key insights is also an important aspect of this role.
  • Determining and ensuring correct data and analytics flows is essential.
  • Engaging with audience and product stakeholders to collect and understand data and insight requirements is necessary.
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in data/audience analytics and Power BI development is required.
  • Strong experience with web tracking tools, marketing and targeting data from social media platforms is expected.
  • Strong experience in Power BI development & visualizations, including DAX and M, and connecting to SQL and non-SQL data sources is necessary.
  • The ability to provide web and campaign tracking requirements to development and audience/marketing teams is critical.
  • Strong experience in creating data models in Power BI and Power BI Service is expected.
  • Experience with audience segmentation models, attribution models, and funnel conversion analysis is also necessary.
  • Experienced in SQL to perform data quality assessments and ad hoc analysis is required.
  • A good understanding of data migration/ETL processes, data management, and relational data models is essential.
  • The ability to think data end-to-end is vital for this role.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
