Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer to join our operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining critical facilities infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers. Responsibilities

  • Perform facility infrastructure maintenance, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor building and data center alarms to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on site infrastructure, or handled by vendors with your oversight, managing the permit to work system.
  • Maintain repairs and perform corrective maintenance on equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Prepare and carry out planned maintenance, ensuring our data centers operate at optimal levels.
  • Complete site logs and data gathering, including MOPs and scripts, to support our operations.
  • Assist more senior staff with responding to on-site incidents and act as directed.
  • Request to begin responding to basic incidents based on your knowledge and experience.
  • Complete basic work requests and circuit installations.
  • Participate in ongoing infrastructure projects, including small works projects such as lighting upgrades.

Requirements

  • You have an ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • You have previous data center/critical environment experience.
  • You have comprehensive knowledge of critical infrastructure, including UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, and life safety systems.
  • You are self-motivated and flexible, with a strong work ethic.
