Main Responsibilities:

  • Comply with and enforce our company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policy and procedure requirements.
  • Ensure that all personnel on the nightshift are aware of and adhere to the necessary safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage the allocation of work areas, resources, and equipment to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet customer deadlines and budget requirements.
  • Verify the accuracy of timesheets and ensure that hours are correctly booked to the relevant job.
  • Coordinate with our Quality Control team to ensure that all projects meet our quality standards.
  • Inspect components prior to coating or delivery to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Optimize coating activities to ensure the most efficient use of our facility.
  • Ensure that all plant, equipment, and production tools are properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced.
  • Attend meetings with other company functions to contribute to business and organizational development.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of tasks and responsibilities to the dayshift team.
  • Be prepared to perform additional tasks and work extended hours as required to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong HSEQ and productivity focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to use initiative and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • People management skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.

This is a full-time position, working 39 hours over a 5-day working week or a 4-day condensed working week with a Friday off. Hourly pay will be dependent on knowledge and previous experience.
