About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Bartender Host to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience. This includes greeting guests, learning about their preferences, answering questions, recommending menu items, and preparing and serving beverages and food.

You will also be responsible for upselling items, creating recipes, utilizing proper equipment and ingredients, and handling basic cleaning duties. To succeed in this role, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a strong sense of positivity and provide initial, first-class service.
  • Help each other and think about your team - where a colleague may be busy, keep the guest feeling acknowledged.
  • Record all sales accurately, including charges for packages, and be responsible for payments received from guests.
  • Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness by following all cleaning practices.
  • Aware of your responsibilities regarding Health and Safety at Work and follow all measures accordingly.
  • Attend every shift scheduled for, on time, and presentable, and sign in with your Line Manager.
  • Have a good knowledge and understanding of all food and drink menus and an in-depth knowledge of those for your department to ensure the best service for the guest.
  • Communicate with the Duty/Bar Manager regarding any problems or concerns a guest might have.
  • Attend training sessions and team meetings as required and be involved in and contribute to these.

Requirements

  • Prior bartending experience in a high-volume establishment is essential.
  • Extensive beverage knowledge is required to create classic cocktails.
  • A fast learner, curious, proud, and confident individual who can deal well with the team and guests.
  • A good understanding of working safely and basic knowledge of food and fire safety.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Stock control knowledge is a must.
  • Basic Epos knowledge is required.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £26,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
