Employee Relations Specialist

Macmillan Davies Hodes is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the HR department, you will play a crucial role in managing employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the HR Business Partner in providing proactive guidance on employee relations matters.
- Guide employees on company policies, procedures, and employment legislation, ensuring a fair and consistent application.
- Develop and implement a positive employee relations approach, coaching and upskilling managers to fulfill their people management responsibilities.
- Provide operational support on disciplinary, grievance, appeals, and redundancy consultation processes.
- Manage absence and resolve problematic cases, monitoring KPIs and trends.
- Handle employee relations case loads effectively, ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
- Support organisational change, assisting departments through restructuring and embedding new processes.
- Experience: Proven track record in a similar ER/HR role within a fast-paced and dynamic retail or logistics environment.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR.
- Skills: Resilient, flexible, assertive, and confident in approach. Excellent stakeholder, people, and change management skills. Good analytical and systems skills.
- Mindset: Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced business.
