Process Improvement Specialist

An exceptional opportunity has become available within the Operations Department at Atlas Copco for a permanent Process Improvement Specialist position, reporting directly to the Process Engineering Manager. This role collaborates closely with Production Section Leaders and the QA Engineering team to drive excellence in operations.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislative standards across all areas of the production environment.

Lead the review and improvement of production processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, recommending innovative methods and processes to align with business objectives.

Process Ownership

Take ownership of creating and managing product and process SOPs, ensuring control and adherence within the manufacturing environment and promoting a culture that values discipline and standards.

Roll out training programs for new processes and ensure all manufacturing activities are covered by an SOP, with objective assessments located on SharePoint.

Quality Engineering Support

Actively participate in the completion of CCA's, supporting the Quality Engineering team in closing complaints in a timely manner and ensuring continuous improvement in process-related CCAs from the CCA log.

New Product Introductions

Lead the team in progressing new product introductions, ensuring project plan updates are effectively communicated, and production areas are prepared for timely and effective product introductions.

Validate requirements for jigs and fixtures as needed and prepare detailed capital expenditure justifications.

NRFT Investigations

Support the quality department in interrogating NRFT KPI's and implement actions to remedy key production areas, showing a clear reduction in the NRFT figure month on month.

Inter-departmental Interface

Provide the primary process interface between allocated manufacturing departments and Technical and Sales, ensuring all NPI actions are implemented within agreed timelines from the NPI meeting / log.

Ensure all PNR and PCD actions are implemented within agreed timelines.

Process Change Management

Ensure all changes to processes are captured via the management of change system, with full stakeholder sign-off and review for any process changes.

Any other reasonable tasks assigned by the manager.
