Job Role and Responsibilities

The Network Management Officer will work closely with the Network and Asset team leader to deliver the activities and functions of the Council's Network and Asset team. This team covers three main work areas: Public Rights of Way, Asset management, and Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and oversee the team in delivering the legal and statutory functions, including planning, for Public Rights of Way.
  2. Develop and update policies in line with the latest legislation and best practices.
  3. Collaborate with community and stakeholder groups to facilitate the delivery of rights of way maintenance and improvements.
  4. Assist in the management and maintenance of the Council's asset, including procuring asset surveys and developing forward work programs.
  5. Provide technical responses to external bodies for reporting purposes and assist in the preparation of services budget allocations.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of geographic, internet, and intranet infrastructure and systems to improve the efficiency of the Service and the information provided to the public.
