About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Site Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Atheray Stone. As a key member of our site team, you will be responsible for overseeing the setting-out and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Engineering Duties: Provide site engineering duties within a designated section of the project, establishing level and survey control, and setting out works in line with contract drawings.
  • Site Management: Assist the site management team in managing sections of the work and specific sub-contractor packages.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality checks in line with the inspection and test plan, recording results throughout the contract.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for all site activities, including calibration documents, check registers, and records for excavations, concrete pours, and reinforcement.
  • Surveying: Conduct surveys of completed works to record as-built conditions.
  • Documentation: Assist in preparing method statements, task briefings, and inspection and test plans.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualifications: HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and working towards ICE membership.
  • Experience: Experience with setting out on civil engineering projects and managing daily on-site activities.
  • Certifications: CSCS Card.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with the project delivery team and clients.
