We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supplier Recruiter to join our team at Ground Control. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding subcontractors across a range of specialist services within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and source subcontractors specialising in services such as arboriculture, fencing, ecology, minor civils, pothole repairs, and IRATA.
- Screen potential subcontractors through interviews, qualifications assessments, and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) to ensure they meet company standards.
- Assist and guide subcontractors through the on-boarding process, including providing information on compliance requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Work with the procurement and project teams to forecast subcontractor needs and manage the supply chain.
- Ensure subcontractor documentation is up to date, including certifications, insurances, and licences.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Develop long-term relationships with subcontractors, providing continuous guidance and support to ensure successful collaborations.
- Maintain and update a database of approved subcontractors, ensuring accurate and accessible records.
- Proven experience in supplier recruitment, ideally within the construction industry or related sectors.
- Familiarity with subcontractor services such as arboriculture, fencing, ecology, minor civils, pothole repairs, and IRATA is an advantage.
- Experience with Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) and compliance processes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate record-keeping and thorough screening processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with subcontractors and internal teams.
- Knowledge of industry-specific compliance, health and safety, and legal requirements.
- Proactive attitude, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
