The school seeks a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team for a long-term vacancy. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN in their learning and development both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of personalized learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages pupil engagement and participation.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress and support strategies.

We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with SEN and effective strategies to support them.
  • A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils.
