PMLD Teacher Job Description

At Protocol Education Ltd, we are committed to providing a safe and caring environment for students with complex cognitive needs. As a PMLD Teacher, your primary role will be responsible for creating tailored learning experiences that meet the unique needs of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide a comprehensive approach to education and care.
  • You will develop and implement learning activities that are engaging, creative, and sensory-rich.
  • You will maintain accurate records of students' progress and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, including EHCP reviews.

Requirements:

  • You must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • You must have experience working with students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) or severe learning difficulties (SLD).
  • You must have a strong understanding of differentiated teaching approaches and alternative communication strategies.
  • You must have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
