About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Back-end Developer to join our Engineering team at Napier AI. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in building our powerful financial crime detection engine, used by top Financial Institutions globally.

As a Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality features in alignment with our technical vision and architecture. You will work closely with our tech leads, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to design technical solutions that support our business goals. Your creativity and innovative ideas will be encouraged and supported.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, debug, and unit test product features in accordance with internal procedures and standards
  • Diagnose and solve functional and performance/scalability issues
  • Improve technical practices towards a continuously releasable end-state, especially in terms of GitHub, CI/CD, and development processes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in an engineering role working on microservice-based solutions
  • Experience in Agile delivery environments and a track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better
  • Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure engineering principles and practices

Essential Skills

You will need to have hands-on experience with:
  • Programming languages such as Go and Rust
  • Technologies and tools like Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub
  • Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Database and SQL development experience, especially with PostgreSQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
