Senior Backend Software Engineer

Gazelle Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Belfast. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our backend infrastructure using Java Spring Boot and Azure.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Software Engineer who is passionate about building high-quality software solutions. As a Backend Engineer, you will primarily focus on developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our products, collaborating with frontend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions, and working closely with senior leadership to define and refine system requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Java Spring Boot and Azure.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to define and refine system requirements.
  • Delivery: Ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with OKRs.
  • Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
  • Teamwork: Work effectively with both local and remote team members.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on Java Spring Boot and Azure.
  • Frontend Technologies: Proficiency in frontend technologies like React.js, TypeScript, or Angular.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion: A passion for building high-quality software.
