We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medicines optimisation services to our patients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with our Clinical Lead Pharmacists and Lead Medicines Optimisation Technician to contribute to medicines optimisation activities within community mental health teams. You will be responsible for managing the medicines supply chain, supporting the safe and effective use of medicines, and developing the service in line with local and national strategies and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the medicines supply chain in the trust
- Support the safe and effective use of medicines throughout the organisation
- Develop the service in line with local and national strategies and standards
- Work closely with Clinical Lead Pharmacists and Lead Medicines Optimisation Technician
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician
- Recognised, current Accuracy Checking Technician qualification
- Nationally recognised, current Medicines Optimisation Technician qualification
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office
