About the Role

The company is seeking an experienced Legal Accounts Manager to join their team. This is a leadership position responsible for managing a team of cashiers and overseeing the firm's financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SRA Accounts rules and experience working in the legal sector. They will be responsible for supervising the cashiers team, ensuring accurate and efficient financial transactions, and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide the cashiers team to deliver an accurate and efficient service.
  • Act as the firm's COFA and help identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Assess and implement data-related efficiencies and processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis on files and provide ad-hoc information on financial transactions.
  • Ensure all transactions are handled in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules.
  • Manage cash flow and liaise with external auditors.
  • Submit quarterly VAT returns and maintain card payment systems.
  • Contribute to payroll and benefit administration.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts rules.
  • Experience working in the legal sector.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Ability to handle complexities and volumes of transactions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conscientious, meticulous, and professional with a can-do attitude.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary in the region of £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience.
  • 34 days holiday (including statutory days), rising on length of service.
