Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Building Surveying Team at Playle & Partners LLP in Sidcup. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and output of the team, reporting directly to the Partners of the practice.

About the Role: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building condition surveys, measured surveys, defect analysis, and preparation of formal reports. You will also have experience in submission of building regulations and planning applications, reviewing staff performance, and working on your own initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities and output of the Building Surveying Team
  • Report directly to the Partners of the practice
  • Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring successful delivery
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve company goals
  • Conduct building condition surveys, measured surveys, and defect analysis
  • Prepare formal reports and submissions for building regulations and planning applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., building surveying, construction management)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in CAD software and Microsoft Office
