We are a reputable educational institution seeking a diligent and skilled School Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This is a key role within the school, ensuring that the premises are well-maintained, safe, and secure for students, staff, and visitors.

About the Role:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the school building, ensuring a positive environment for all.
  • Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the school, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
  • Oversee the daily cleaning of the school, including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and outdoor areas.
  • Secure the school building, including opening and closing the premises at the start and end of the day, and responding to emergency situations when needed.
  • Set up rooms for school events, assemblies, and meetings.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, ensuring playgrounds and sports areas are safe and well-presented.
  • Support the school in ensuring that all fire safety regulations are met and equipment is maintained.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in a caretaker or facilities management role, preferably within a school environment.
  2. Practical knowledge of general maintenance and repairs.
  3. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
