Operations Director – 3PL Distribution

A leading company, Rem Associates Ltd., is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the 3PL distribution operations for a fast-paced manufacturing client.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a budget of $18 million and ensure effective financial control.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with union representatives to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Utilize commercial experience to drive business growth and improve operational performance.
  4. Build and maintain a high-performing team by fostering open communication, providing training and development opportunities, and promoting a culture of excellence.
  5. Achieve operational performance targets as defined by customer contracts and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  6. Meet or exceed financial targets through effective budgeting, cost control, and revenue growth strategies.
  7. Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient service delivery.
  8. Monitor and improve team member satisfaction through regular surveys and feedback mechanisms.
  9. Maintain a strong health and safety record by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  11. Implement and maintain business excellence initiatives to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  12. Drive organic growth through strategic planning, market analysis, and customer engagement.
  13. Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements and maintain relevant accreditations.
  14. Deliver customer and scorecard objectives through effective project management and team leadership.
  15. Implement and manage successful model year and change programs to drive business growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. Manufacturing retail background is essential for this role.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  3. A university degree or equivalent professional qualifications are necessary for this position.
