About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures team in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the structural engineering design of projects in diverse sectors and scale, ensuring our designs are technically accurate, efficient in form and materials, and minimize embodied carbon.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural engineering design of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure project delivery meets our high standards.
- Contribute to the development of our technical skills and processes, implementing new techniques and best practices to enhance our services.
- Deliver excellent client relationships through proactive communication, engagement, and clear project management.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Environmental and Health and Infrastructure to deliver a one-stop engineering design service to our clients.
About You
We are looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer with at least 12 years of experience, educated to a degree level or equivalent in structural/civil engineering. You will have relevant experience in various sectors, including schools, higher education, residential, commercial, or industrial development. You must be able to demonstrate experience in delivering accurate and innovative designs, managing projects, and communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders.
