Secondary School Autism Base Assistant

A Secondary School Autism Base Assistant is required to provide specialist support to students with complex needs. This is a full-time position that involves working collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to create individualized support plans. Delivering targeted lesson interventions to small groups of pupils, helping them to achieve their full potential, is a key aspect of this role.
The successful candidate will provide emotional and behavioral support to help students manage challenges and develop coping strategies. Assisting in monitoring and assessing students' progress, maintaining detailed records and providing feedback, is also an important part of this role. A positive and inclusive classroom environment is essential for this role, celebrating diversity and encouraging student independence.

An estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
