About the Role

We are seeking an experienced E&I Technician to join our team at SRG. As an E&I Technician, you will be responsible for undertaking planned maintenance of plant machinery and site facilities, communicating task progress with relevant stakeholders, and reactive repair of machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned maintenance of plant machinery and site facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Communicate task progress with relevant stakeholders, including management and colleagues, to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination.
  • Perform reactive repair of machinery to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Install new equipment and modify existing equipment as required to meet changing business needs.
  • Carry out E&I testing, inspection, calibration, and reporting of plant condition to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop a maintenance strategy for machinery, plants, and infrastructure on site to optimize maintenance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Proven competence in a similar role, with experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, including Siemens S7 PLC (step7/TIA portal), motor control, and inverter drives.
  • Industrial communications expertise, including Profinet and Profibus.
  • Instrumentation knowledge, including level, flow, pressure, temperature, and pH.
  • Fault finding and planned maintenance skills, with experience in CMMS (Avantis/SAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Sound computer literacy skills, with experience in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Relevant qualifications, including HNC in a related subject, NVQ level 3 E&I, and 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
