About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Control and Instrumentation Technician to join our client's engineering function. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of instrumentation, control, and electrical equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining accurate documentation for instrumentation calibrations
  • Responsible for maintenance, analysis, and incident reports
  • Calibrating instruments and systems
  • Reading P&ID drawings
  • Installing and terminating instrument and electrical connections
  • Installing, configuring, calibrating, and maintaining control, measurement, and indicating instrumentation (pneumatic, analog, and digital)
  • Performing scheduled maintenance programs
  • Inspecting and testing the operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults

Requirements:

  • Experience working as a Control and Instrumentation Technician or Instrument Engineer with basic electrical experience
  • Experience with maintenance, fault finding, and carrying out repairs within the field of instrumentation
  • Knowledge of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing defective instruments
  • Able to read P&ID drawings
  • Experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or oil and gas industry, ideally with experience working on a COMAH site
