About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Mental Health Liaison Team at the Royal Bolton Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide medical leadership and expertise in Liaison Psychiatry, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical leadership and expertise in Liaison Psychiatry to the Mental Health Liaison Team.
  • Assess and manage patients with mental health needs, including those with acute psychiatric emergencies.
  • Develop and maintain a high-quality, responsive, and flexible service that meets the needs of our client group and the Royal Bolton Hospital.
  • Work closely with other team members to develop and implement service development plans.
  • Supervise junior doctors and provide medical support and supervision to the Liaison team.

Person Specification
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Approved under S12 or able to achieve with 3 months of appointment.
