About the Role
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our services and work closely with other teams to provide high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the community. This will involve working closely with other teams and consultants to ensure coherent and high-quality mental health care for adults with severe and enduring mental health problems within the Bury area.
The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the development of the service, attend local and divisional service development meetings, and work with junior doctors to support their development.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be on the GMC Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion, with higher psychiatric training or its equivalent. They will also have Section Approval under the Mental Health Act 1983 or be eligible for approval, and evidence of teaching and training abilities.

The trust operates an Inpatient-Outpatient model (New Ways of Working) and is staffed by 6 full-time consultants in Adult Psychiatry. Each community consultant is allocated a junior doctor to work with them, with support from advanced practitioners and sessional input from specialty doctors.
