We are seeking a skilled interpreter to work with various public and private organizations in the UK. As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work in different settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other organizations.

Language Empire, established in 2001, provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors. We are looking for an interpreter who can speak one or more foreign languages and has experience in politics, business, healthcare, and public service.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fluent English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation

As a self-employed interpreter, you will have the flexibility to choose your own schedule and work from the comfort of your own home. Our dedicated team will provide ongoing support and continuous professional development.

Once your registration is approved, you will be contacted for job opportunities in your locality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
  • Checking non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with confidential information
  • Liaising between service users and providers
