About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading our Specialist Weight Management Services (SWMS) team, comprising dietitians, psychologists, nurses, and exercise specialists, in delivering patient care and focusing on complex cases of obesity.
  • Developing and managing prescribing services to ensure safety, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Training and supporting prescribers to operate within their competencies, providing guidance and auditing their activities.
  • Directly engaging with patients through consultations and medical assessments, overseeing their care, and ensuring treatment plans align with best practices.
  • Enhancing clinical programmes, including Tier 2 weight management, type 2 diabetes prevention, and medication-assisted interventions.
  • Maintaining CQC standards and working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure robust quality assurance processes are in place.
  • Supporting bid responses for weight management service tenders and collaborating with health coaches and MDT members to manage complex cases.

What You'll Bring

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Specialist or special interest in obesity care
  • Strong understanding of CQC governance
