Position Summary: Director of Product Management
The Director of Product Management plays a crucial role in overseeing the development, marketing, and product lifecycle management of Loftware's product suite. This includes leading a product team to identify market opportunities, develop business cases, and define requirements, as well as collaborating with software development, marketing, sales, customer success, and customers to ensure seamless execution of product initiatives that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and execute product launch plans, including packaging, pricing, and promotions, to prepare internal resources to sell, service, and support products.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive product positioning, go-to-market strategy, and programs that make products successful in the market.
- Lead a team of product managers through planning and execution of strategic product initiatives and ensure achievement of overall business goals.
- Create product roadmaps, prioritize work, and manage product releases.
- Drive innovation and new product development initiatives from conception through execution.
- Take ownership of assigned product development and product management projects/initiatives, being self-sufficient in their successful delivery to stakeholder expectations or targets.
- Perform market research and analysis in target industry sectors to identify market opportunities, trends, and drivers.
- Develop and gain agreement for product strategies and product positioning that address these market opportunities effectively.
- Identify and prioritize specific market and customer requirements for resulting new products or product enhancements.
- Prioritize requirements for inclusion in each product release and gain stakeholder agreement and investment approval on release contents and timescales.
- Utilize the product life cycle process to deliver and launch products and services to market, on time and budget, to support agreed product strategies and roadmap.
- Manage products in life to ensure ongoing success in terms of market share, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
- Enable sales and marketing teams to be effective by being a market and product authority/subject matter expert and aid in creation of appropriate product documentation, sales tools, and collateral.
- Remain up to date on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive alternatives and adjust product strategies and roadmaps accordingly.
- Be a subject matter expert on the functionality, features, and design of software products within Loftware's portfolio.
- Be a strong customer advocate and participate in client focus groups, customer events, and ongoing client-facing meetings.
- Manage relationships with 3rd-party technology partners and suppliers.
- Manage end-of-life activities for products as required.
- At least 8 years of product management experience with SaaS products.
- Experience of being responsible for bringing new B2B software products to market by following an Agile product development process.
- Strong understanding of business financials and product pricing and packaging.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and organizational skills.
- 5 or more years of leadership experience in a global organization.
