About the Role:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system that meets all relevant legal requirements and industry standards.">
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and method statements to identify potential hazards and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.">
  • Provide training and support to staff on health and safety best practices, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely.">
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop a safety plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.">
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and improve performance.">
  • Promote a culture of safety within the organization, encouraging employees to report any concerns or incidents.">
  • Work closely with employees, managers, and other stakeholders to identify and address health and safety issues.">
  • Demonstrate professional competence and development, staying current with industry trends and best practices.">
  • Ensure accurate records of accidents, incidents, and near misses, using this data to inform improvements to health and safety procedures.">
  • Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.">
  • Monitor and analyze health and safety metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to reduce risk.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.">
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification preferred. Minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety required.">
  • Proven track record of improving health and safety performance, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.">
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and external partners.">
  • Intermediate standard of IT, including competent use of Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel).">
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Excellent computer and administration skills, including Microsoft Office applications.">

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

">
