Quality Assurance Specialist

A&P Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at A&P Tyne. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that our work meets our rigorous quality and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client IP to determine quality requirements
  • Develop, manage, and update inspection test plans
  • Ensure all reports generated during the manufacturing process are completed
  • Collaborate with our project team to ensure ITPs are aligned with requirements
  • Conduct surveillance tours of the units to identify quality concerns
  • Work with the team to resolve quality issues
  • Attend and contribute to project progress and quality meetings

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in quality engineering and inspection plan creation and management
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of heavy fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulations
  • Organisation, communication, and diplomacy skills
  • IT skills with various Microsoft packages

Security Clearance:

Due to the nature of what we do for some of the customers that we work with, some roles working for A&P are subject to security control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors including your nationality, any previous nationalities you have held, and your place of birth may limit those roles you can perform with us.

You must also undergo a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before your employment starts, which will include a basic DBS check.
