Quality Engineer Job Description

A&P Group is seeking a meticulous Quality Engineer to ensure that every project meets the highest standards of quality. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Inspection Test Plans, collaborating with the team to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement, and ensuring the highest levels of safety and efficiency are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review client IP to determine quality requirements, including material grade, welding process, NDE requirements, intervention points, acceptance criteria, and verifying records.
  • Develop, manage, and update inspection test plans for projects.
  • Ensure all reports generated during the manufacturing process are completed, and build the manufacturing record books.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure ITPs are aligned with requirements.
  • Conduct weekly surveillance tours of the units and ensure any quality concerns are brought to the attention of the project/production teams.
  • Work with the team to resolve quality issues.
  • Attend and contribute to project progress and quality meetings.
Requirements:
  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in quality engineering and inspection plan management.
  • Technical expertise and knowledge of Marine processes, materials, and industry standards, with a keen eye for detail and understanding of the importance of quality.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
  • Organisation, communication, and diplomacy skills developed through both working on projects and within teams.
  • IT skills with various Microsoft packages, such as Pro, Word, and Excel.
