Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Ophthalmology Consultant to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care and to be part of a forward-thinking department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care to patients with paediatric ophthalmology conditions
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in teaching and training of junior staff and medical students
  • Engage in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration
  • Eligibility for entry onto the GMC Specialist Register
  • Sub-specialty training in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus
  • Experience in ROP treatment and screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
