We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Assistant to join our team at Long Term Futures Ltd in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting the education of children with additional learning needs.

The salary for this position is approximately £47,000 - £51,500 per year (equivalent to £92-£101 per day), based on a 5-day week, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with subject teachers and the SENDCo to develop and implement effective learning strategies for pupils with additional learning needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with teaching staff to plan and deliver tailored learning activities for pupils with special educational needs;
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils in the classroom, under the guidance of teaching staff;
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other related documentation;
  • Communicating regularly with parents and carers to keep them informed of pupil progress and any concerns;
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
