Lead Tutor Role

We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our team as a Lead Tutor. This role involves modelling best practice in tutoring, coaching, and holistic support for young people with special educational needs.

  • This position requires a qualified teacher from any age range with robust knowledge and experience of teaching, assessing, and working with students with special educational needs.
  • You will lead a team and model best practice and creative approaches to colleagues.
Job Description

Lapwing Education is a specialist therapeutic education provider and charity that delivers highly personalised education programmes and projects designed to meet the needs of each student. As a Lead Tutor, you will be responsible for programme managing all aspects of specific students' programmes and being the main point of contact for families, funders, and team members.

This role may involve working with students in both one-to-one and small group capacities. You will also have the opportunity to lead on the delivery, implementation, and monitoring of new initiatives or oversee a curriculum area.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Robust knowledge and experience of teaching, assessing, and working with students with special educational needs.
  • A car and willingness to drive to work with students in Suffolk and north Essex.

The salary for this position is estimated at £34,255 - £45,072 per annum (actual) depending on experience and qualifications. The role is permanent and part-time appointments (minimum 30 hours) are possible for the right candidate(s). The post is peripatetic covering education programmes delivered across Suffolk and north Essex.
