Job Description

About You:

  • Strong background in business rate schemes and appeal procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive financial and numeracy skills

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational local leadership of the RPM and Historic Rates Audit teams in Cheltenham
  • Demonstrable record of working within the business rate profession - experience in a local authority business rates environment or equivalent experience in private practice
  • IRRV Qualified (Level 3 minimum) and evidence of CPD
  • Comprehensive understanding of business rate schemes and appeal procedures in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Eire and the Channel Islands
  • Able to calculate complex rate liabilities and a specialist in business rate transition schemes, translating this into simpler terminology for both clients and colleagues

Salary Package:

  • Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
