Role Overview

Travelers is seeking an Underwriting Data Analyst to join our team in London. As an Underwriting Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large data sets to provide insights that inform underwriting decisions. You will work closely with business intelligence teams to develop and maintain dashboards and reports that support underwriting strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the monitoring of planning line performance to support the execution of underwriting strategies.
• Assist Underwriting Officers to develop and analyze portfolios from an underwriting perspective, utilizing management information and business intelligence data and reporting insights from multiple sources.
• Identify trends by understanding and monitoring key performance metrics, such as portfolio mix, drivers of underwriting performance, claims performance by cause and by attrition, large and catastrophe components, geography, segment, distribution channel, and rate targets.

Requirements

• Degree education and ACII preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, complemented with expert numeracy and Excel capabilities.
• Previous experience in Lloyd's or London Market is preferred but not a prerequisite.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
