About the Role

King's College London seeks a highly experienced Academic Dentist to lead our Paediatric Dentistry programme. As part of our Centre for Oral, Clinical and Translational Sciences, you will contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes, as well as undertake research aligned with our Faculty and Kings Health Partners Dental CAG strategy.

This role involves leading the delivery and development of our teaching programmes, undertaking administrative and managerial duties, and contributing to day-to-day clinical practice in Paediatric dentistry. You will also have opportunities to engage in multidisciplinary clinical audit and develop junior colleagues.

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Academic Dentist to join our team and make a significant contribution to improving oral and dental health through translational and clinical research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the leadership, delivery and development of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes in Paediatric Dentistry
  • Undertake research complementary to the overall research strategy of the Faculty and Kings Health Partners Dental CAG
  • Contribute to day-to-day clinical practice in Paediatric dentistry
  • Undertake administrative, managerial and other duties as reasonably expected of a member of clinical academic staff

Person Specification:

  • Fully registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) and hold a valid license to practice
  • PhD qualified in a relevant subject area or pending results
  • Listed GDC Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry
  • Attainment of Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship Exit Examination
  • Demonstrable evidence of competitive and externally funded research applications
  • Experience of teaching and clinical supervision
  • Chair or member of faculty committees
  • Evidence of multidisciplinary clinical audit
