About the Role

We are seeking a Support and Coordination Officer to join our Medical Education team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Clinical Educators and Faculty, ensuring the smooth delivery of medical education services.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing systems administration for the Education Department databases;
  • Maintaining and updating content on our intra/internet site;
  • Analysing feedback and evaluations to produce reports highlighting issues;
  • Organising work placements for students interested in pursuing a career in medicine;
  • Providing support and guidance to the Faculty, including Educational Supervisors, Royal College Tutors, and Clinical Supervisors;
  • Working with Faculty and Clinical Educators to provide timetables, rotas, and information packs to undergraduate students;
  • Assisting in the allocation of mentors, supervisors, etc. for medical education students;
  • Liaising with Faculty and Clinical Educators regarding their requirements for teaching and planning ahead to ensure all timetables and presentations are available in good time and preparing teaching and lecture materials as required;
  • Solving day-to-day teaching problems, such as a tutor being unable to attend;
  • Working with Clinical Educators to plan and organise activities for Undergraduate Department OSCEs and workshops.

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or relevant qualification;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office Systems;
  • Significant experience of working in an Administrative Area.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working in Medical Education;
  • Organisation of Courses or Programmes of Education;
  • IT Qualification.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £25,500-£31,100 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.
