About the Role

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team and provide support to a 9-year-old child with Autism and ADHD. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the child with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and developing social skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, including toileting and changing sanitary products
  • Support the child with swimming and other activities
  • Encourage independence and confidence
  • Develop road awareness and social skills

  • Positive and encouraging attitude
  • Good time keeping
  • Calm in difficult situations
  • Quick thinking
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle
  • Previous experience with Autism, ADHD, and moderate learning disabilities
  • Competent in using PECS and Makaton
  • Motivate using humour
Working Hours

The successful candidate will work 4 hours on alternative Saturdays or Sundays and 1-2 6-hour days per week during school holidays.

Benefits

The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks.
