Product Verification Engineer

Langham Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Product Verification Engineer to join our client's team in Chelmsford. As a world leader in the scientific and satellite / space industries, our client is always pushing the boundaries of technology.

This exciting opportunity is for a Graduate with a Physics / Astrophysics / Space Engineering or related degree to work on a wide range of hands-on, clean-room, and office-based engineering tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining test flows, commissioning test equipment, verifying test capability, training operations personnel to perform testing, supporting production line testing, and planning & verification of reliability test campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivery and management of allocated work packages and tasks
  • Writing project documentation, including test plans, procedures and test reports
  • Commissioning test equipment in accordance with internal and customer specifications, including some scripting and coding for Automated Test Equipment
  • Performing technical investigations into failure modes and anomalous results
  • Supporting internal and customer meetings by presenting technical information
  • Supporting teams outside of the Product Verification Team, including Operations and Process Engineering
Requirements:
  • A masters physics, Astrophysics, Space Engineering related engineering degree
  • Understanding of semiconductor device physics
  • Understanding of test development, commissioning and fault finding
  • Experience using Labview or Matlab in an industrial, academic or lab based environment
  • Analysis skills
