We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Malaberg. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement and monitor health and safety policies and programs to ensure a safe workplace according to legal guidelines and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures to minimize hazards.
- Organize and conduct training sessions on health and safety practices and regulations for staff.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker's compensation claims.
- Participate in continuing education to update knowledge of health and safety protocols and techniques.
- Assist with other operational administrative tasks as needed to support the overall efficiency of the facility.
- NEBOSH certification or in the process of certification.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
- Able to motivate others, ask questions, and engage effectively to promote safety awareness.
