Senior Clinical Nurse Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Nurse Lead to join our Haematology/Oncology department at Ashford & St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of nurses, providing high-quality patient care and ensuring that practices are in accordance with department and hospital policy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Providing clinical expertise in administering chemotherapy and complex infusions
- Developing and implementing quality standards and initiatives to improve patient care
- Participating in the supervision and performance management of staff within the unit
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of quality and risk management initiatives and targets
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse with a first-level degree in a related subject or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through clinical experience
- Experience caring for patients with haematology/cancer/chronic conditions
- Chemotherapy/SACT competency and a recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards
- Experience in mentoring/teaching in a clinical setting and leadership within a clinical setting
- Excellent communication skills, ability to support and influence change, and experience of audit/quality improvement
