Manufacturing Planning Specialist

At Line Up Aviation, we are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Planning Specialist to join our team in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, for a 12-month contract. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of existing and future manufacturing schedules, ensuring timely delivery of Logistics Management activities and customer programmes.
Role Responsibilities- Co-ordinate and execute all activities related to the planning and procurement of materials, ensuring timely and adequate supply to support manufacturing output.
- Release, manage, and schedule all work in the MRP system, maintaining delivery forecasts and communicating with customers.
- Ensure efficient and effective material inventory management, minimising excess waste and costs, and maintaining accuracy of the MRP system through regular stock checks.
- Work closely with the Supply Planner to communicate potential plan changes and resolve constraints in the supply chain.
- Identify and escalate risks related to supplied parts to the planning and control team.
- Collaborate with Goods Receiving, stores, and dispatch to manage inventory levels, resolve queries, and maintain MRP system accuracy.
- Support effective non-conformance management controls and maintain the manufacturing bill of materials and strategy.
- Contribute to the achievement of schedule adherence, inventory, and delivery KPIs through the execution of the planning process.
- Prior experience in Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- APICS Supply Chain certification is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MRP systems.
- Excellent planning, organising, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail.
