Job Role:

Field Service Engineer (Hydraulic, Mechanical Systems)

Location: Reading, Berkshire (Accepting Applicants from surrounding counties)

Salary: £33,000-£35,000 base salary (OTE £42,000-£60,000 pa)

Hours: Monday-Friday Door to Door Paid + Overtime @ 1.5x

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Client: We are partnering with a rapidly expanding, rewarding and innovative organisation based in Norfolk to support the growth of their engineering team. Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a skilled electromechanical engineer interested in learning, developing and progressing within the Compact Plant Industry.

  1. 28 days annual leave including bank holidays + 1 additional day per year / up to 25 days + Bank
  2. Laptop, Company Vehicle, Fuel Card, Company Credit Card
  3. Company Pension Scheme
  4. Training & Development within industry
  5. Occasional overnight stays (Paid subsidiaries, food & drink allowance)
  6. Overtime paid before 08.5x hourly rate, 1.5x hourly after 16.30, Optional Weekend Work First four hours on Saturday paid at 1.Sundays & Public holidays are paid at 2x hourly rate
  7. Operate in a 1.5 hour radius of your location with door to door paid
  8. Opportunity for training & progression within to a senior role.
The Duties:
  1. To attend breakdowns, service and PPM's on an array of industrial scale compactor systems within the waste management industry.
  2. The use of manual hand tools (Spanners, Screwdrivers), electrical hand tools (powered drills, grinders), lifting equipment (lifting slangs, hoists etc), Hot working tools (Blowtorch, heat guns)
  3. To carry out electrical, electronic, mechanical fault finding alongside elements of hydraulic systems.
The Requirements:
  1. Electrical, Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience would be advantageous.
  2. Any previous experience with MIG/TIG Welding is advantageous but not essential.
  3. A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge, similar roles could include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter, forklift engineer.
  4. Experience using electrical & mechanical tools.
  5. Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field based engineer. Any experience surrounding hydraulic systems/hoses, mechanical fault finding & repair alongside some base electrical work.
