We are seeking a Care Leaver Support Specialist to join our Social Care team in Buckinghamshire. This role involves befriending, advising, and supporting young people leaving the care of the local authority and transitioning into independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Befriend, advise, and assist young people in transitioning to adulthood and independence.
  • Work directly with care leavers, aged 16 plus, to facilitate their transition to adulthood and independence from local authority care.
  • Undertake assessments to ensure asylum-seeking young people's entitlement to leaving care support is ongoing, even if their immigration status changes.
  • Liaise with various agencies in pathway planning to ensure young people are aware of their entitlements regarding their asylum outcome.
  • Develop and sustain good working relationships with young people.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working within a statutory Children Leaving Care team within the UK Social Care industry.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
