Lead Product Developer Opportunity

Harper Anderton is seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Developer to join our team in the Hampshire area. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering high-quality products to the European market.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deliver accurate NPD, EPD, and ingredient-led innovation for Europe.
  2. Design products with customer focus and consumer insight to meet the needs of the European market.
  3. Establish and improve best practice processes within product development and the team.
  4. Coach and support Drinks Development Technologists in NPD and ingredient technical matters.
  5. Lead projects independently, proactively, and with minimal operational support.
  6. Identify and manage key project stakeholders and understand project interdependencies.
  7. Sourcing and selecting raw materials, suppliers, and managing specifications.
  8. Deliver products to consumer-relevant quality standards.
  9. Translate consumer insights and concepts into robust product solutions.
  10. Conduct robust trials, validation, and manufacturing of products.
  11. Research consultancies, laboratories, and universities to build technical knowledge and product validations.
Requirements:
  1. Working knowledge and experience of food manufacturing, preferably in powder handling and processing.
  2. Ability to lead and deliver technical work programs with a cross-functional team.
  3. Experience of launching products in multiple markets and working with a multinational supply base.
  4. Sound technical knowledge of powder manufacturing processes, e.g., dairy processing and dry powder technology/processing.
  5. Strong ability to understand, interpret, and challenge data presented by internal associates and external suppliers/consultants.
  6. Passion for technical development of beverage and food products.
  7. Excellent working knowledge of food science, manufacturing processes, quality assurance principles, ingredient supply, and market research practices.
  8. Strong communication and influencing skills.
  9. Ability to apply technical knowledge and skills in a manufacturing and commercial environment.
  10. Ability to understand market trends and translate them into efficient product development solutions.

Salary: £45,000.00 - £55,000.00 per annum
