Teacher of the Deaf with Leadership Role

The University of Leeds is committed to delivering exceptional education and research in the field of deaf education. We seek an experienced Teacher of the Deaf to lead our regional support team and contribute to the success of our MA/PGDip Deaf Education Programme.
The postholder will oversee the mandatory teaching practice component, undertake site visits, and work closely with the Programme Leader to ensure consistent and high-quality regional provision and support for students. They will also be responsible for liaison between the University, schools, educational settings, and the wider deaf education practitioner community.
We offer a dynamic and supportive working environment, with opportunities for professional development and growth. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant master's degree, a Teacher of the Deaf qualification, and significant experience in senior management in deaf education. They will be able to demonstrate their ability to work effectively in a team, communicate complex ideas, and provide high-quality teaching and support to students.
