Job Title: Band 7 Community Midwife

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety across Maternity services. This will involve coordinating the management of the Inphase system, risk register, and facilitating reviews of incidents to identify learning opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to responses to serious incidents and collaborate with the complaints department, legal department, and patient safety team.
  • Implement and monitor the Maternity Clinical Risk Management Strategy in line with the Trust's Clinical Risk Management Strategy.
  • Lead responsibility for working with clinical staff to identify risks, review risk assessments, report risks, and ensure necessary actions follow and learning takes place.
Job Requirements:
  • Registered Midwife with experience as a Band 7 or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of dealing with sensitive information in challenging circumstances.
  • Experience of undertaking Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and managing difficult situations.
