About the Role

The Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Direct Payments Employment Support Team as a Direct Payments Team Support Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our direct payments system, enabling individuals to recruit and manage their own personal assistants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information and support to individuals using direct payments, their personal assistants, and colleagues across Adult Social Care and the wider organization.
  • Deal with enquiries about recruitment and employment processes, manage the PA Noticeboard, and report on activity.
  • Support direct payments audits and contribute to the development of our direct payments system.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of good customer service, equal opportunities, and the work of the Adults and Communities Department.
  • Experience of working in an administrative, financial, or secretarial setting, preparing and producing reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external customers/partners, and handle challenging situations in a professional manner.
