Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join our team at an outstanding school in Huyton, Liverpool.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons at both Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring the learning experience for all pupils is well matched to their educational needs.
  • Establish and maintain an excellent standard of discipline through focused teaching and positive, inclusive relationships.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment for teaching and learning, using a variety of teaching methods appropriate to pupils' learning needs and the curriculum requirements.
  • Make effective use of assessment information and analysis to inform planning and maximise pupils' progress.
  • Mark and monitor pupils' classwork and homework, providing constructive oral and written feedback and setting targets to maximise pupils' progress.
  • Encourage high standards of grammar, spoken English, and presentation of work.
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and updating of Schemes of Work across both Key Stages.

Qualifications:



  • A degree.
  • Qualified Teacher status, with experience or an Early Careers Teacher.
  • An enthusiastic and outstanding classroom practitioner, able to teach science up to GCSE standard.
  • A high level of specialist subject knowledge.
  • Successful teaching experience at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the Academy.

This school is based in Huyton, Liverpool, close to public transport links. Parking will be available on site.
