English Language Specialist

Teaching Personnel is seeking an exceptional English Language Specialist to join their team at a secondary school in Huyton, Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons at both Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring that the learning experience for all pupils is well matched to their educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To create a stimulating learning environment for teaching and learning, using a variety of teaching methods which are appropriate to pupils' needs and to the requirements of the curriculum.
  • To make effective use of assessment information and analysis to inform planning to maximise pupils' progress.
  • To set high expectations for pupils' behaviour, establishing and maintaining an excellent standard of discipline through focused teaching and through positive and inclusive relationships.
  • To encourage high standards of grammar, spoken English, and presentation of work.

Qualifications:

  • To hold a degree.
  • Qualified Teacher – with experience, or an Early Careers Teacher.
  • Enthusiastic and outstanding classroom practitioner, able to teach English to GCSE standard.
  • High level of specialist subject knowledge.
  • Successful teaching experience at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This school is based in Huyton, Liverpool. Parking is available on site.
